Offered by Priestess Devanna and her husband, master metalsmith Joshua, this 4-day intensive metalsmithing workshop offers students the opportunity to make their own talismanic jewelry in honor of the goddess Brigid, the Celtic triple goddess of healing, smithcraft, and song.

In this workshop students will learn basic metalsmithing techniques to create three personal talismans, explore the elemental magic of smithcrafting, and participate in rituals each day to deepen their experience, all while immersed in the lore and lessons of Brigid. A closing dinner on Sunday to celebrate the achievements of the workshop is included in the workshop cost.

Project: Weaving the Spell

Fine tuning and finishing projects, crafting a consecration spell

Ritual: Elemental Blessings and Consecration of Personal Talismans

  • Dates: Thurs, May 12 through Sun, May 15
  • Hours: Thurs-Sat, 10am-6pm, Sun, 10am-5pm (includes 1 hour lunch)
  • Cost $485 per student; includes 27 hours of instruction/studio time + all materials for projects and rituals.
  • Class includes techniques of sawing, filing, forging, riveting, using a jeweler’s torch and solder, polishing and finishing.
  • All students must be fully vaccinated/boosted for COVID
  • Limit 4 students.

    Bring your own lunch daily, or order lunch from a local business. Dinner on Sunday at the end of the workshop will be provided. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions by May 7.

    Once registered we will send you an email with our address and directions to our home studio in Vallejo, CA.

    Lodging may be arranged for an additional fee; please inquire ASAP if you need to arrange lodging or transportation.

    *Please note: we have two exuberant huskies that will interact with us throughout the workshop. We also have two indoor cats if you have allergy concerns.

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellation must be made 4 weeks in advance of the workshop (April 14) to be eligible for a refund; after April 14, we will issue you a credit for your registration cost in our store which can be used for future workshops or jewelry purchases.
